Farewell, Joshua Adah!

I physically met my dear missionary friend and brother in the Lord – Pastor Joshua Adah and his lovely family in November 2014, when I moved to Abuja.

However, it seemed we knew each other forever. We had been introduced through a colleague in four years earlier on the phone.  We developed a bond of friendship that was difficult to explain.  I just knew God had brought him my way. He had a school of over 300 children and he did not have any means to support these children, except through what matters the most – faith in God!  He also established over 10 churches in the Adamawa state, leading thousands to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ! We spoke on the phone at least three times a week and he shared his trials, triumphs and victories.  We were prayer, encouragement and laughter partners!

On the 12th of January, I was led to call him to visit me in Abuja so we can finally put a plan around how Enspire Education foundation could support his school and the children.  We spent the weekend of Jan 20th – 22nd 2015 strategizing and discussing his plans for his ministry.

Sadly 5 days later, he was hacked to death along Jalingo Wukari road on his way back from one of the mission fields.  He leaves behind a wife – Ngozi Joshua Adah and three young daughters.  While I will terribly miss his physical presence on earth, I believe that just like Apostle Paul – He has fought the good fight, He has finished his race, and Pastor Joshua truly has remained faithful.

And was on the earth for a short 38 years, he absolutely lived a life of significance – a life worthy of emulation!
